| Description | Antique map (copper engraving) of Portugal divided into 5 provinces, showing the seacoast from Cap de Silleiro down to Cap. St. Vincent. It also locates Oporto & the entrance to the River Douro with it's passage across the country. The map depicts Lisbon and the Bay of Setubal and hundreds of cities, towns & villages across the country to the Spanish border and to the Algarve, the Mediterranean Sea and the Bay of Cadiz in the south. The very decorative title-cartouche shows a crown and shield , ornamented with figures, carrying baskets of products. A wonderful map of a beautiful country |
