| Description | Antique half length portrait (copper engraving) of David Vlugh, Admiral of the Dutch fleet. David Vugh served the Admiralty of the Noorderkwartier and was a merchant captain in 1658. He commanded in the Four Days and St. James's Day Battles in 1666. He also commanded in the Raid on Chatham in 1667. He fought in the Battle of Solebay in 1672 and was killed in the First Schooneveld Battle in 1673 |
